If you had told me a few years ago that a live-action anime adaptation would become one of my absolute favourite shows on television, I would have laughed you right out of the room. Yet, here we are in 2026, and Netflix’s One Piece continues to be an absolute triumph that defies every single historical curse of the genre. Following the incredible high of Season 2 hitting our screens just a few months back, the production team has officially pulled off a monumental feat. Filming on Season 3 has completely wrapped, and to celebrate, the studio dropped a gorgeous cast photo that has sent a massive shockwave of pure joy straight through the fandom.
Standing Tall Against the Desert Crocodile
The newly released wrap photo gives us our absolute first look at the core crew assembled for The Battle of Alabasta, and it is enough to bring a tear to any veteran fan's eye. While seeing the core crew back together is fantastic, the absolute showstopper of the photo is the official inclusion of Charithra Chandran as Nefertari Vivi, who has officially been upgraded to a full series regular for the upcoming block of episodes. For those of us who have followed this sweeping story since the early manga days, Vivi represents the literal beating heart of the Alabasta saga. Seeing her standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the Straw Hats feels like a historic milestone. Chandran looks absolutely perfect in the role, capturing that exact blend of royal elegance, fierce determination, and deep diplomatic intelligence that makes Vivi such an unforgettable character in the grand lore of the Grand Line.

What makes this production wrap feel so incredibly special is the sheer, high-octane momentum behind the scenes. While other massive fantasy shows routinely make us wait three agonizing years between seasons, the One Piece team is moving at a truly spectacular pace to keep the adventure flowing. By filming these massive story arcs back-to-back, the creators are ensuring the young cast naturally retains that infectious, youthful energy that made the first season such a global phenomenon. With the physical production officially in the bag, the countdown to the live-action civil war for Alabasta has truly begun, and I cannot wait to see our favourite pirates sail into their biggest battle yet.
